Role Description

TIS is seeking an experienced Maintenance Coordinator to lead the maintenance and upkeep of the Company’s fleet, operational equipment and facilities. The role is responsible for ensuring vehicles, equipment, buildings and supporting infrastructure remain safe, reliable and available to meet the needs of the business. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring strong technical judgement, planning discipline and a service-oriented mindset. The Maintenance Coordinator will lead a multidisciplinary team and work closely with departments across TIS to ensure maintenance requirements are addressed efficiently, safely and to a high standard.


Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate preventive, corrective and routine maintenance across Company vehicles, trucks, equipment and facilities.
  • Lead and supervise a multidisciplinary maintenance team, including mechanics, electricians, construction personnel, cleaners and groundskeepers.
  • Prioritize maintenance requests based on safety, urgency and operational impact.
  • Coordinate servicing, repairs, inspections and maintenance activities to minimize downtime and disruption.
  • Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of offices, workshops, warehouses, yards and other Company facilities.
  • Coordinate civil, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, air-conditioning and general building maintenance as required.
  • Manage external contractors and specialist service providers where necessary.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records, service histories, work orders and related documentation.
  • Monitor recurring equipment or facility issues and support root-cause analysis and corrective action.
  • Work closely with Logistics, Planning, Stores, Procurement, HSEQ and other operational teams to support business requirements.
  • Monitor maintenance costs, contractor performance and resource requirements.
  • Support continuous improvement of maintenance systems, standards and service delivery.


Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management, Maintenance Management, Construction Management or a related technical field.
  • An equivalent combination of relevant technical qualifications and practical experience may be considered.
  • Minimum five (5) years’ relevant experience in fleet, equipment, facilities or industrial maintenance.
  • Previous supervisory or coordination experience is required.
  • Experience leading multi-trade teams and managing external contractors would be an asset.
  • Experience in an industrial, energy, construction, marine or offshore environment would be beneficial.
  • Valid driver’s permit and ability to travel between Company locations as required.

Working Environment

This role operates within a fast-paced industrial environment supporting multiple Company locations and operational requirements. The position may involve work across offices, workshops, yards, warehouses and outdoor environments and may require flexibility outside standard business hours to respond to breakdowns, urgent repairs or operational needs. The successful candidate should be comfortable working in a hands-on environment, managing changing priorities and coordinating technical teams while maintaining strong safety and service standards.
