NDE-PENETRANT TESTING LEVELS I/II

This five (5) day course is a program for persons who wish to qualify as per Level I & II  status.  This program will appeal to the receivers & suppliers of NDE services, manufacturers, maintenance and repair contractors who need to have their personnel aware of the requirements demanded by their customers quality program and also the procurement of  3rd party inspection. It will also appeal to individuals who are seeking introduction into the NDE Industry. The course covers theory and practical demonstrations. The course satisfies the guidelines given in SNT-TC-1A needed for both Level I & II.

API 570  PIPING INSPECTOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

The American Petroleum Institute (API) initiated the Piping Inspector Certification Program (PICP) to provide a continued high level of safety through the use of inspectors specialized in process piping; to improve management control of process unit inspection, repair, alteration and rerating; and to reduce the potential for inspection delays resulting from regulatory requirements. This program is based on API Standard 570, Piping Inspection Code: Inspection, Repair, Alteration, and Rerating of In-Service Piping Systems; and RP 574, Inspection of Piping, Tubing, Valves, and Fittings

NDE- RADIATION SAFETY FOR PLANT PERSONNEL

This 2-day course is designed to exceed basic radiation safety in accordance with ASNT- CP 105 (2006) –Radiographic Equipment Operating and Emergency Instructions Course.  This program is suited for individuals who are currently managing and/or receiving radiographic services from suppliers.

NACE COATING INSPECTOR PROGRAM LEVEL 1

The CIP Level 1 Course is an intensive presentation of the basic technology of coating application and inspection over a full 60 hours of personal instruction and practice. This course provides both the technical and practical fundamentals for coating inspection work on structural steel projects.

NACE COATING INSPECTOR PROGRAM LEVEL 2

The CIP Level 2 Course focuses on advanced inspection techniques and specialized application for both steel and non-steel substrates. The course includes in-depth coverage of surface preparation, coating types, inspection criteria, and failure modes for various coatings including specialized coatings and linings.

CATHODIC PROTECTION LEVEL 1

The CP 1-Cathodic Protection Tester Course is an intensive 6-day course that presents CP technology to prepare students for the Cathodic Protection Tester Certification Examination. Course topics include basic electricity, electrochemistry and corrosion concepts, CP theory, CP systems, and CP field measurement techniques. This course provides theoretical knowledge and practical fundamentals for testing on both galvanic and impressed current CP systems.

O-CAT -OFFSHORE CORROSION AND ASSESSMENT

The Offshore Corrosion Assessment Training course is a five-day intensive program addressing the elements of in-service inspection and maintenance planning for fixed offshore structures. The course also addresses the Minerals Management Services (MMS) A-B-C facility evaluation grading system requirements for Level I inspection reporting.

API RP 577-WELDING AND METALLURGY

API 577 Supplemental Inspection Certification program tests Inspectors’ knowledge and expertise in the field of Welding and Metallurgy. The examination questions are derived from API RP 577 - Welding and Metallurgy, which is applicable to anyone in the petrochemical industry. This supplemental inspection certification program will be open to anyone who is currently certified to either 510, 570 or 653

API 580-RISK BASED INSPECTION

API 580 Supplemental Inspection Certification program tests Inspectors’ knowledge and expertise in the field of Risk-Based Inspection.  The examination questions are derived from API RP 580 - Risk-Based Inspection,  which is applicable to anyone in the petrochemical industry. This supplemental inspection certification program will be open to anyone who is currently certified to either 510, 570 or 653.

The American Petroleum Institute (API) initiated an Aboveground Storage Tank Inspector Certification Program with the issuance of Supplement 1 to API 653, Tank Inspection, Repair, Alteration, and Reconstruction. This program promotes safe storage and material handling of petroleum products in a manner that protects employees, the public, and the environment

NDE- RADIOGRAPHIC FILM INTERPRETATION

This 5-day course is designed to cover interpreting and evaluating Industrial Radiographic Film in accordance with ASNT- CP 105 (2006) requirements leading to a SNT-TC-1A-Limited Level 2 certification. This program is suited for individuals who are currently viewing radiographs and are not involved in actually taking the radiographs themselves.

NACE-BASIC CORROSION

TISL Course Code: 11-064 EP 014

Anyone who needs to understand the language of corrosion control, and be able to recognize corrosion and its related problems within their area of responsibility and operations, should attend. This could include but is not limited to those who work with suppliers, supervisors, project manages, technicians, sales personnel, field personnel, inspectors, chemists, and engineers. No previous training in corrosion control is required but an understanding of basic science and chemistry is necessary to fully benefit from this course.

S-CAT- SHIPBOARD CORROSION ASSESSMENT

TISL Course Code: 11-064 EP 015

This 5 day course is intended to provide a foundation of coatings, corrosion, and corrosion control knowledge for assessing the condition of tanks and other structures, and determining the required actions necessary to effectively maintain fully operational status. The course will equip the assessor with practical guidelines for surveying and evaluating the condition of the protective coating system on specific areas of a marine vessel. The desired end result is that assessors utilize a consistent, orderly, and repeatable process of evaluation that has the confidence of all those involved in the maintenance cycle.

API 510 PRESSURE VESSEL INSPECTOR CERTIFICATION PROGRAM

TISL Course Code: 11-064 EP 016

The American Petroleum Institute (API) initiated a Pressure Vessel Inspector Certification Program to improve management control of process unit operation, repair, and maintenance; reduce the potential for inspection delays resulting from regulatory requirements; and provide a continued high level of safety through the use of inspectors specialized in process equipment. The program promotes self-regulation and establishes a uniform national program that will assist state and local governments in pressure vessel regulations.
