The
five (5) day Level I & II program will appeal to the receivers &
suppliers of NDE services, manufacturers, maintenance and repair
contractors who need to have their personnel aware of the requirements
demanded by their customers quality program and also the procurement of
3rd party inspection. It will also appeal to individuals
who are seeking introduction into the NDE Industry. The course covers
theory, practical demonstrations and hands on lab time on equipment. The
course satisfies the guidelines given in SNT-TC-1A needed for both Level I
& II General examination.

Program Session III
|
CIP Session III focuses on specialized application
methods and coating types for non-steel substrates along with inspection
criteria, failure modes, lab testing, and a comprehensive instrument
review. Two qualified instructors
present the course material through a series of lectures, demonstrations,
and case study discussions.

Program –Peer Review
|
Passing the CIP Peer
Review is required to achieve recognition as a certified NACE Coating
Inspector. Peer Review is an intensive, detailed oral examination that
lasts approximately two hours and includes a series of questions to test
the candidate's practical and theoretical knowledge of coatings.

Certification Program

The
American Petroleum Institute (API) initiated the Piping Inspector
Certification Program (PICP) to provide a continued high level of safety
through the use of inspectors specialized in process piping; to improve
management control of process unit inspection, repair, alteration and
rerating; and to reduce the potential for inspection delays resulting from
regulatory requirements. This program is based on API Standard 570, Piping
Inspection Code: Inspection, Repair, Alteration, and Rerating of
In-Service Piping Systems; and RP 574, Inspection of Piping,
Tubing, Valves, and Fittings

course will tell you everything you need to know to correctly write a
coatings specification with enough confidence to avoid the pitfalls and
traps that cause coating failures. Materials, common coating failures, and
economics are the focus of this five day course. A student notebook, Corrosion
Prevention by Protective Coatings, and Coatings and Linings for
Immersion Service are included in the course fee.

placed on project management, maintenance planning and execution, and
predicting coating life and quality assurance. A reference book: Users

Service, TPC9, is included in your registration fee.

considered a module for persons seeking Level II Radiography
Qualification.

Session II
|
CIP
Session II focuses on advanced inspection techniques and shop coating
processes for steel. Students will learn about specialized application and
surface preparation methods as well as destructive test instruments and
more sophisticated nondestructive test methods. Presented by two qualified
instructors in the form of lectures and demonstrations with inspection
instruments and equipment, this 6-day course concludes with both written
and practical examinations.
Pre-requisite
: CIP Session 1.
